Some tips for damas hair-styles:

Accessory Mania
Hair accessories have hit the red carpet with a vengeance this year and they are sure to add some extra pizzazz to your quince hair. Try adding a tiara, fancy clips, rhinestone combs, a flower, or a ribbon headband to instantly move your style from boring to beautiful.

Halfway Flare
If you just can’t decide whether to wear your hair down or up this year, take a cue from the celebrities and do both. A halfway up hairstyle is a great way to show off your beautiful face and clear your hair away for when you want to get crazy on the dance floor. To create the look, simply brush the top of your hair back and secure it with braids, clips, combs or a small French twist.

Beautiful Waves
Whether you have naturally curly hair or not, waves are hot in Hollywood and on the quince floor. To create waves, either set your hair in hot rollers or have a friend gently curl it with a curling iron. When styling your waves, run your fingers through them instead of brushing to keep some definition. You can keep your hair flat on top or let it wave all the way to the crown of your head.

QUINCEANERA HAIR STRAIGHTENING TIPS

Here are my tips for creating that straight, silky hair look at home for damas or quinceaneras.

First, go get yourself a high-quality flat iron. Even if your hairdresser only used a blow-drier, it’s pretty much impossible for a regular person to get that perfectly-straight look without a flat iron. Since you’re going to be using it frequently, it’s worth investing in a good brand that has ceramic plates - you can purchase these at some hair salons, or at a beauty supply shop. Yes, this kind of flat iron is more expensive, but it won’t fry your hair as much as non-ceramic kinds and it creates a better effect.

Make sure your hair is completely dry before using the flat iron. This is extremely important to avoid damaging your hair. The high heat of a flat iron can cause damage to hair strands and applying the heat to damp hair worsens the potential for damage.

Before using your flat iron, after you’ve blow-dried your hair, apply a heat-protective spray (also called “thermal protector”) to your hair in order to create a shield between the fragile hair cuticles and the heat from the appliance. This can prevent a lot of damage, and only takes a second.

You’re going to be working with small sections of hair - half the width of the flat iron’s plate at maximum - so know that it’s going to take a long time, and be patient. Pin up the top layers of your hair and begin underneath. Start at one side of your head and work your way around to the other side. Work your way through the layers of your hair to the crown of your head. As you move from section to section, be sure to go back over the junctions between straightened sections. This will create a more even look.

Remember not to place the iron too close to your roots, or you risk burning your scalp. Use a steady, slow motion to draw the iron down to the tips of your hair. Consult your flat iron’s owner’s manual to determine how long to leave the iron on each hair section.

For a completely sleek and straight look, pull the iron straight down to the tips of your hair. Comb your hair smooth after you draw it through the flat iron and continue the process till all the hair is straightened.

After you’ve finished, shake out your head and allow hair to cool before using any hair accessories (or you’ll get weird bends in your hair). Comb hair when cool for a smooth finish, and set your newly-sleek style with a bit of hairspray (which is great at protecting from humidity, which can wreck all your good work) and if you like, a dose of shine serum.  That’s all girls, keep coming back to superquince for more quinceanera hair tips.

Best Quinceanera Hair Color

The hair color that will give you the prettiest and most natural results is one that complements your natural eye color and complexion.

With green eyes and light skin, I don’t think you want to go too dark. Black or very dark brown hair can look unnaturally harsh on girls with fair skin, so lowlights might be a better option for you, if you’re craving a richer color. If you do decide to go darker all-over, deepen your hair by only two shades maximum, and consider using a “multi-faceted” coloring kit, such as Feria, to give your newly darkened hair some contrast and keep it from looking too heavy.

If you’re a light brunette, with your fair skin you can definitely pull off one of the darker shades of blonde. However, if your hair is medium brown, you might look odd with all-over blonde hair. Try a few light caramel highlights around your face instead - DIY using a coloring kit, or via a professional at a salon.

Have you considered red tones? With fair skin and green hair, a reddish dye might look gorgeous on you. Anyone can look good in red, actually - the trick is choosing the correct shade of red for your natural coloring. If you have a warm skin tone (peachy or ruddy), go for a warm copper or ginger shade of red. If your skin is more pinkish, choose a more browny red, such as caramels or auburns.

When deciding to go for highlights, lowlights or all-over color, consider the amount of time and upkeep you are willing to put into maintaining your color. An all-over dye will require constant (every 4 to 6 week) re-dyes to combat regrowth (roots). This can be time-consuming and expensive. Highlights are more natural looking when they grow out, so you don’t have to redo them often.

Also, consider why you want to color. If you want a total change of your look and image, an all-over color job is probably what you’re looking for. But if you just want to warm or brighten your complexion and add a pretty complement to your hair, then highlights around your face would probably work quite well.

Whatever hair color you choose, always remember the golden rule of coloring: You have to match your hair’s natural undertones to the hair color shade you pick. So if you have a cool skin tone (ivory or ashy), use ash or beige tones of blonde, cool ash browns, or caramel reds. If your skin is warm (peachy or yellowish), select golden or straw hues of blonde, golden browns, and copper reds.

Coloring your hair for a quinceanera is a big step, make sure your parents are ok with this.

Tips for Quinceanera Hairstyles

Here are some tips for quinceanera hairstyles, every sweet 15  is an excuse to really go to town, and the more glam and glitz, the better! You ve got the dress, the shoes, the makeup, the new jewelry… you ve booked the limo, and that bubble of excitement is already starting to rise up inside your stomach… Now all you have to do is work out how to fix your hair! And a beautiful quinceanera hairstyle is crucial for your overall appearance.
60 s influenced styles are back in fashion, but there are many other ways to make your quinceanera hairstyle one to remember. Here s the long and short of it!

Short hair:

Chics with short hair are lucky because their quinceanera hairstyle will take half the time to do! Short hair is the best type if you want to have a really out of this world flicks at the nape of your neck - think funky pixie! All you need is some hair wax - apply a little and tease out the ends of your hair so that the style frames your face. Alternatively, short haired girlies can sweep their bangs to the side, and pin it with a pretty hair clip. This sophisticated look will work even better if you pick delicate hair accessories that coordinate with your dress and corsage.

Medium hair:

Those of you with medium length hair may think that there s nothing interesting they can do with their hair. But stop and think; you re actually the ideal length because you can make your hair look longer, or shorter, fairly easily. To make your hair look shorter, take small sections, and carefully twist them towards the back of your head. Pin the ends where you would normally have a ponytail, and tease the ends of the twists out away from your head to create cute flicks. To make you hair look longer, attach a quality fake ponytail, and fix your hair like the long haired girls…

Long hair:

You girls with long hair can chose from several quinceanera hair styles. You could leave it down (flowing locks are always great). But if you want to pin it back, remember that it doesn t just have to be a ponytail. Put your hair into a ponytail first of all - (your hair will be too heavy without that extra support, and the style is most likely to slip). Then take the ends of your hair and twist it or curl it, and pin it to the back of your head. You could even have lots of tiny plaits, intertwine them, and then pin them into a beautiful bun shape to form a kind of crown. Sensational!

Curly girlies:

Delicately curled tendrils work especially well if you have an off the shoulder dress. If your hair isn t naturally curly,  you can cheat! Use a heat protective spray, and carefully curl the ends of the hair into traditional ringlets. Not only will this new style frame your face but it will create quite an impact.. curly girlies always look romantic!

Whatever you do, remember the golden rules. No matter which style you choose, make sure that your hair is shiny, bouncy, and healthy looking. Avoid the temptation of fixing your hair with half a bottle of hairspray. Hair which is weighed down with too much product always looks crusty and dull. Remember, sophistication and coordination is the key.

Any hairstyle for a Quinceanera girl should be stunning and secure. It needs to capture the maturity of the new young lady while standing up to a night of celebrating and dancing. It also never hurts to choose a Quinceanera hairstyle that makes you look fantastic.

You need to decide what hair accessories you want to wear before deciding on your exact hairstyle. If you’re going to wear a tiara or crown, your hair will need a flat area for the adornment to sit. If you plan on wearing just pretty gems scattered in your hair, you can use almost any upswept style.

Tiara Twist
This upswept and twisted hair style is perfect for any Quinceanera party. Pull your hair into a low ponytail with your hands. Twist the ponytail tightly upwards towards the crown on your head. Pin the twisted hair in place and leave the ends loose on top of the head. Take the loose ends and create tons of tiny spiral curls. Use some hairspray to keep everything in place. Slip your crown or tiara on in front of the curls and secure with pins.

There are a few Quinceanera hairstyles you can create with variations on the basic ponytail tiara twist hairstyle. Separate your hair into two sections and twist each one up the side of your head. Bring them together at the top of your head, curls the ends, and secure with pins and hairspray. Or you can go with four sections, two in back and two in front. Twist up to the top of your head, gather the hair together, curl the ends and secure.

Braided Crown
If you don’t plan on wearing a crown or tiara, think about making your own crown with a fancy braid. Pull you hair up into a high ponytail. Use ribbons that match your dress and braid your hair with them. Take the long, fancy braid and wrap it in a circle around your head. Secure in place with plenty of bobby pins and hairspray. Pull a few loose tendrils out around your face to soften the look.

You can use ribbon, flowers or even tiny barrettes to help dress up a braided crown hairstyle. Find tiny, gem barrettes to scatter in the braid itself. Find some fresh, small flowers and stick the stems into the braid. You can even use the ribbon to create pretty hanging strands down the back of your head and neck

But I m sure, whatever you decide to do, you ll all look like the quinceanera queen!  Soon i’m posting a ton of hairstyles for quinceaneras, keep coming back..
