This second quince invitations lools very elegant and modern. It is a ticket invitation, very nice and colorful. Your party details go on the front, and also has more space on the back for additional info like list of damas, chambelanes, padrinos, an extra photo or poem. That’s one the very importan things to look for when buying your initations, in some quinceanera invitations the space is limited, it is not a bad thing, but sometimes you need that extra room. Well this one has plenty of space, the colors are changeable to whatever color you want , it is shown on hot pink and lime. It goes well with a masquerade themed party, but We have been told, that you can take the mask off and put something else, like a picture, if you don’t like the invitations with the masquerade. The ticket goes inside the silver box, and the invitation box is wrapped with a silver cord, we love them.
This last quinceanera invitation is a mardi gras themed credit card, includes your picture and all your party details on the front. The size is like a real credit card, the back message can also be personalized or changed. This is one invitation that you won’t be able to list all your padrinos if you have a lot. Some padrinos or your list of damas or chambelanes will fit just right but any kind of big list or big poem will be difficult to put in there. But again we don’t want a traditional quinceanera invitations, right? It looks and feel amazing. It comes with a small envelopes, so you can hand them out to your friends.
This is a very importan thing right, if you choose a nice hairstyle for your quinceanera. After many years of working with quinceaneras, I have seen many things, keep reading and maybe this article will help you on your special day.
The Right Quinceanera Hairstyle
The right quinceanera hairstyle is different for every girl, if your hairdo has to be perfect then we recommend you get it done for your before picture session, so your hairstlyst can practice it and you can experience it beforehand
Hairstyles for Girls with a Lot of Hair
Many quinceaneras have a lot of hair, your hairstyle will take more time, if possible measure the time before hand so you’ll know how many hours it takes to do your hairstyle.
Hairstyles for Cury Hair
Curly hair is difficult to handle, and will take more time to do than straight hair. Consult your hairstylist about this.
Where to do your hairstyle, home or salon?
I reccomend doing at home, since it will take a lot of stress out and don’t mention time. Your mom won’t have to drive you to the hairstylist. On your special date every minute counts, you’ll be sorprised how the time flies. Also the video guys will have a chance to video take you doing the hair and makeup, sometimes this is not done because of the hussle of driving to other locations and many small video packages don’t include going to extra locations, if you plan a good reasonable hour to start your hair and makeup you will have them on video guaranteed.
It seems it is an easy question but I’ve seen many quinces ruined becuase of bad time planning. The quinceanera should do their hairstyle first, don’t do the damas or mom’s or the tias or sobrinas. This is why it is important to know how many minutes or hours it takes to do your hairstyle so you can plan ahead. If you don’t follow this rule, you will end up 15 minutes before the church service starts wihout make up or hairstyle, and on top of that it takes your limo 30 minutes to get there, meaning you will be at least 45 minutes late with a bad make up and very ugly sad face on your video and pics.
The best Hour to start doing your Hairstyle
This all comes down to as early as possible but not too early too. The video guys will not be there at 6 am, since they have to video tape all day, unless you’re paying a little extra. And this is another point where you can save on your video price, all you have to do is plan ahead.
So there you have it, some tips for your next quinceanera hairstyle, as you can see, it is not the syle that is the most important but how well you manage your time on your special date.
Should you put the whole list of padrinos or court of honor on your quinceanera invitations? Parents sometimes want to squeeze the whole list in the invitation. It does not really matter when the list is small, but I’ve seen lists that sometimes require a separate paper besides the invitation. And yes, that’s a solution. Sometimes this little detail will influence the mom of the quinceanera to choose a quinceanera invitation with more room for the sponsors or padrinos. A solution would be to print the list on a separate sheet but expect to pay a little more for that. Another solution would be to convince your mom that the whole list of your padrinos would be included in your video. The wording of your quinceanera invitation looks nicer with less text but sometimes padrinos are very important too.
When the list is short, the list can fit any kind of invitations, but sometimes this list is very long, about 60 padrinos, at least 3 chambelanes, and 3 damas, padrinos de honor, chambelan de honor, pajesitos. Our tip will be to no put too many wording since the invitation will start to look too crowded and not pleasant to look at.
It is always a good idea to choose the hairstyle early, then if possible, test it out on your picture day, choose a style that is trendy and goes with your dress. And do not rely on hairspray to hold it all night, a good hairstyle will hold all day and night, only a professional hairstylist can do that.
Planning a quinceanera is always a big task, even more if you have not done one before. Well we’re here to help, feel free to browse our site for more tips, ideas, comments and insider stuff to all quinceanera. Well, lets get started. First of all we’re going to need a date, so start looking for reception halls in your area, one thing we need to know before looking reception sites is an idea of how many people it will hold. So we need the your number of guests, bigger quinces need a bigger salon right! Also don’t forget to include the dance area, check that the reception site has a good space for your corte de honor to dance their dances, surprise dance, etc.
The Quinceanera Reception Sites
With your number of guests in hand, ask around hotels, banquet halls, if possible go look at the place before deciding on it. Just ask if your date is available, but don’t sign the contract yet, because if you want a religious ceremony before it, then you must find a church close to your city that will do it for you in the same day. I guess locking the place and church would have to be done together, nowadays is becoming very difficult to synchronize these two. But with a little patience and time it can be done.
The Church / Religious Ceremony
If you want a traditional religious ceremony on your quinceanera, then the best thing to do is lock your church date first and then with plenty of time look for a salon. When it comes to locking places, time will be your only friend, ask the church administrator to lock your date in advance, many do it even one year earlier. Many new quinces don’t even have a religious ceremony anymore, many don’t do it because of the synchronizing dates hassle, or just because they’re not religious enough. Many others that really want to have one, do it in a different church and just have a blessing by a pastor. Many others don’t want to pay for it since some catholic churches have a very high price. Whether you’re having one or not, it is cool both ways.
This is very important, make your list very early in the planning process. Don’t be shy this is a tradition, and a very good one, it allows us to have many quinceaneras in this economy.
The Quinceanera Dress
Everything gets easier after picking the right quinceanera dress. The next step in your quinceanera planning project is to pick your quince dress, the color of your dress will dictate the theme colors, or at least give you some ideas for the decorations, favors, invitations, etc. When picking out your dress the big question is the color, what’s your favorite one? Turquoise, Hot Pink, Lime, Purple, Black or even Orange. Should I buy the dress on a store or online? Well, online is a little cheaper but, it may not fit you perfectly, and then you will have to pay for fixing it.
Hire a choreographer for your traditional dances, baile sorpresas. I’ve seen choreographers work with a group of damas and chambelanes for as long as 6 months. It all depends how many hours per week you guys practice. The more people you have in your corte de honor the more difficult it is, since moms have to drive them to your home or place to where they practice. Also, you have to feed them all, or at least buy some snacks and drinks. Hiring a choreographer is becoming very expensive that’s why some people make up the dances themselves, or have a sister that had their quinceanera already, and is a little creative with dances and is up to the challenge.
Photo and Video
Finding a really good one is very important, this will be the only thing left after everything comes to an end. If you don’t want any surprises, ask for a sample video, a good videographer and photograher is not shy to show his work. Always allow plenty of time for the production of your video and photos, video editing and good photo retouching takes some time.
Many people do their own food preparation and serving, but at the end say, “I should not done that, I din’t have time to enjoy my party”. The Hispanic tradition is to serve your guests even if they arrive the party at 11 p.m. How crazy is that right! If you’re going to do this, always hire a waiter to do the job for you, or ask some relative to help you with that. Of course there are companies that do this for you too, they prepare the food, and serve it.
Ask your video guy to recommend you a DJ. Or hire one that you know from a friends party. Hire one that has a good light show, or plenty of lights to make the place feel like a party. When it comes to hiring dj’s, ask about their onstage personality, and see if you like it. This is important since, sometimes people say. “No hablaba nada” or “Man, He didn’t shut up”. This is very true, some people want all the introductions there can be, announcement for every part of the event, etc. and many people want the dj, just to dj and be silent.
The Quinceanera Invitations
There is no party without guests right! Order your invitations 2-3 months in advance, people usually do it in 2 months in advance, but many others do it the same month, please don’t leave it to the very last 2 weeks, since you have to allow one week for production and another week for shipping. Many homemade invitations take even longer to make, allow 2-3 weeks for production and one week for shipping. If you’re ordering online, double check your names and last names, since this is the thing the stores don’t change. If you’re planning on having your padrinos on your invitations, choose an invitation with plenty of space, if not any invitation will do.
Ok, I think you can make a party now, you have all the basics, a dress, a place, the food, the dj, some one to video tape it, guests, of course there are many things left to do, but we’ll talk about them later. Feel free to browse around and read many other of our posts, happy quinceanera planning!

Quinceanera invitations Language? Yes, if you’re planning your quince this question is always asked. should i order my invitations in english or spanish, but there is no right answer, I guess if the mayority of your guests speak spanish then spanish is a good option.
Is it possible to order both english and spanish invitations? Yes, but it is more expensive. A good idea is to include both english and spanish wording on the same invite.
Should I order respond cards or RSVP cards? Respond cards are smaller cards that go with your invitation, the wording usually in it are your contact info so that the guest can contact you and tell you if they’re attending. These small cards usually come with a small envelope so that your guests can send them back by mail, but nowadays the cards have your phone number, email to contact you. The main idea behind the respond cards is that, once you know how many people are attending then you can order the exact number of plates with your catering company. These rsvp cards or respond cards look very elegant, but if you are in a tight budget then include the contact info on your quinceanera invitations.
Does the sponsor list go in the invitation? This is up to you, but nowadays this list is bigger and therefore won’t fit on your quince invite. Many people also include a separate sheet of paper with the list, and many people left the list for the video only.
When should I order my invitations? If your misa and salon dates are ready then you are ready. People usually do it two to four months in advance, time is your friend here, remember that.
Invitation with my picture? If your quinceanera invitations have a picture, remember that if you’re sending a pix taken by a professional then you’re probably also need to send a copy of the copyright release, basically saying that they can use the picture for your invitations. Ask your photographer for it, this sometimes delays the ordering process so, beware to have it ready. If you took the pic yourself then don’t worry about it.
How many invitations to order? Order 100, for a normal party, ordering less will save you pennies. 30 tables or more then order 150 to 175. It is always a good idea to order an additional 25 invitations, because if you reorder later, the expense is %50 more. Always ask your friend that just had a quinceanera and ask her how many invites she ordered. If you have a bunch of padrinos then order at least 200.
Quinceanera wording example: This is a very basic wording example, you may also add a frase at the beginning of the wording.
El señor (NOMBRE DE TU PAPA)y
la señora (NOMBRE DE TU MAMA)
se complacen en invitarles
a la celebracion de los
Quince Años de su hija
(NOMBRE DE LA QUINCEANERA)
Invitation wording with a frase at the beginning:
Tube un sueño cuando niña,
un deseo, una ilusion
que yo tuviera una
fiesta en un salon.
El gran dia ha llegado
gracias a Dios le doy
por ayudar a mis padres
en esta fiesta que dan hoy.
El señor (NOMBRE DE TU PAPA)y
la señora (NOMBRE DE TU MAMA)
se complacen en invitarles
a la celebracion de los
Quince Años de su hija
This is the perfect time to plan your quinceanera invitations. A good rule of thumb is to order your invitations as early as possible. It is not wise to give the invites at the very last week, why? Well you will probably get cheap regalos, give your guest some time to think what to give you, he he he.. Believe it or not it works. A very good idea for your invitations is to have a Regalos Wish List. People do it on wedding so why do it on your quinceanera. This list can be included on your invitation, how cool will that be.
This will be my Regalos Wish List:
Ok, ok enough about dreams. Let’s go back to invitations, have your chambelanes and damas write their name correctly on your notebook, this will save many mistakes later on. Write your reception hall address, and building name. Many people get to your party via GPS, and having the whole address on your quinceanera invitations rocks, believe me you will save your dad at least 20 calls to his cell phone. Also write the church complete address, same story here. If possible double check the address with a gps or google. I have seen churches with wrong addresses on their own web site. And also don’t forget to write what kind of street it is like: St., Street, Ave, Lane, Ln, Road, Rd
It seems like common sense but if you’re not used to writing addresses then you might overlook these details. And believe it or not all you’re gonna give the addresses to everybody: Guests, photographer, videographer, choreographer, dj, bakery, catering, well everybody. Having the correct addresses on a paper really helps, and why not your invitations.
