If you’re in the planning process of your quinceanera, and have not decided on a theme, today let’s talk about a masquerade theme for your quinceanera. Of course the first thing that goes into mind is masks, but don’t forget that feathers go into this theme also.

There are many types of masks available, many very expensive, since they are handmade. You can also buy them blank or plain white and paint them yourself adding a special color of your theme. It would be a cool project to do.

I have not really seen any masquerade dresses, I have seen zebra pattern dresses but not masquerade.

I love these invitations, since the background color can be personalized to any color, and the black mask looks very nice. When looking for quinceanera invitations I always like something different and unique.

Masquerade Decoration

Any masquerade theme is not finish with a little something extra as decorations, of course you can have masks, but masks are sometimes only used for the dances.

You can incorporate something on the cake, since the cake is a very important focus point in your party. You can also have a little collage of masquerade theme for your pictures, just a little space where you can take pictures.
Another good idea is to have some masks for the waiters and staff. At the entrance of your reception you can give out some inexpensive plastic masks also.

How about having a concert theme or event theme, sounds cool right.  You can dress your chambelanes with shirts that say ” Staff” or “Security”.  Your invitations can be a ticket or one the vip passes below.    On the main entrance you can have a large poster just like a concert.   Also make a red carpet leading up to your front door using red wrapping paper or cloth.   If you’re having a limo they usually have one of those.

Quinceanera Themes - Concert or Event

Do you love movies like I do, how about having a quinceanera with the theme of movies or a cinema.   You could decorate the reception with your favorite movie posters, from the classics to the new blockbusters.   Your invitations can be a real ticket shown on the picture below.   Your main chair “de coronacion” can be one of those director chairs, how cool is that!   And how about giving your chambelanes  or padrinos a Trophy Statuette, you know those from the Oscars.  For the baile sorpresa, or any of your dances you can be dressed as Marilyn Monroe, or any other classic movie icons.

Cinema Themed Quinceanera Invitations

This will be a pretty cool quinceanera theme don’t you think.  And it would be very easy to do, i guess if would be very easy to find any decations of ships, sea, travel, Caribbean, bikinis.  It will also be cool to have it in the coast or beach, to really top it off.
